Can't find active internet connection

Hi folks

I am having trouble installing K9.

After I typed in the License Key and hit "Next", I got an error message that says "You must have an active internet connection to validate your license - please connect and retry"

I then went to the Windows Firewall, found the k9filter.exe under the "temp" directory and made an exception for it to access the internet but the problem still exists.

I finally Disabled the whole Firewall and still the problem exists.

Could it be because I am behind an SMC Wireless Router that uses NAT?

What protocol or port does k9filter need to access or go through?
